Meditation - OMing your way home

Happy New Year! It is officially 2015, the beginning of a beautiful new year! A new year can mean a time to start fresh. It can be embraced as a time to grow, set goals, have new experiences and keep learning new things. Of course we all want to start the new year with full force, full of ambition and resilience but as we all know, new year resolutions can be quite tricky to keep.
Why not begin your new years resolution with a little bit of self-improvement….after all none of us are perfect. One beautiful thing we can do for our health is practice meditation.
One of the best things about meditation is that anyone can practice it and it can be practiced anywhere. Meditation has been practiced for thousands years but recently in our modern world it has really been embraced as a form of relaxation, reducing stress and manage symptoms of conditions such as: anxiety disorders, asthma, cancer, depression, heart disease, high blood pressure, pain, and sleep problems.
Meditation not only benefits your emotional well-being and your overall health but can also help you remain more calm throughout your day and may improve certain medical conditions.
When you meditate, you clear away the information overload that builds up every day and fogs up our focus.
Here at NY Loves Yoga we embrace the wonderful benefits of mediation and now provide classes that incorporate more meditation. Move and Meditate is offered Mondays at 11am and Thursdays at 8pm for only $10. Here is quick description of the class found on our website:
