LittleOHMS yoga, art, play and education pod is mindfulness and education after school program (pod) at NY Loves Yoga. Each pod meets once a week for 4 weeks - extendable upon request and combines yoga, mindfulness techniques, visual art, play and study time ensuring a creative and productive experience for your child. As you know, our studio is spacious and comfortable - we have a gorgeous outside garden patio for snack time and sunshine!

 

Once you have a pod, we will assign one of our expert teachers. We agree on a set schedule, and we’re off! We know your children will love this time for socializing, expressing and becoming. It may give you some time to yourself too.

 

Price: $40 per hour/child, 4 child minimum (collected by one parent before the first session) 30 minute on zoom and 1-2 hour programs available at the studio.

Meet Our Instructors!

Yoga Adventure & Art Instructor 

Sasha Barnett has a passion for teaching children academically with her 20 years of childhood education. After her first class at NY Loves Yoga, she discovered she felt the same way about yoga.

 

With a master’s degree in childhood education and teaching in classes, she
now devotes her time as a private tutor. She is currently in NY Loves Yoga 200 hour yoga teacher training and immersed with Cosmic Kids Yoga Academy.  

 

Her passion is teaching children not only
how to be good students, but how to find their most authentic forms of self expression.

Yoga Adventure & Art Instructor

Elisabeth is a mother, an educator, and an eternal student. She’s passionate about helping all children thrive, and in sharing the many benefits she has experienced over the course of her own practice of yoga and mindfulness. 

She is an experienced certified Children’s Yoga and Mindfulness teacher, with Little Flower Yoga and taught in a wide variety of NYC public school settings across the five boroughs.

 

In May of 2020, she earned a Master’s in Psychology in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, with a concentration in Spirituality, Mind and Body studies. She is thrilled to be part of the team at the warm and welcoming community of New York Loves Yoga!

What is the age range?

The pods are designed for children that are of the same age.  We know socially and developmentally kids can vary. Please send us a message if you have questions.  

 

What will we do during the pods? Depending on the time, which varies from 1 - 2 hours we will:

- Get to know each other and talk about themselves

- Read excerpts from books than share via coloring, movements, music

- Opportunity for kids to share more about themselves and learn about each other.

- Using our senses: Smells, touches, sounds, sight, taste. Various items set-up for them to experience.

What will do for yoga ? 
Kids yoga is so much fun! 

- Each session includes an energetic warm-ups, then we’ll move onto some interactive yoga. 

-The kids will also learn techniques to help calm their bodies and minds.
