Our Yoga Alliance accredited 200hr yoga and meditation teacher training program is detailed, systematic and experiential. NY Loves Yoga is not a one-style-fits-all yoga studio; we pride ourselves in offering various lineages —- the thread of commonality is our deep respect for the practice, the eight limbs of yoga, our expertise and commitment, and our 200hr teacher training reflects that.

Your lead teachers Gina Cunningham, Lucas Hall, MJ Watkins, Dennis Teston will take you through over 200 hours on the physical, philosophic and energetic components of yoga and meditation, while giving you plenty of hands-on teaching experience.

Each weekend includes in-depth yoga classes and lectures; philosophy and history to learn yogas deep roots; asana labs to break down the commonly used poses, anatomy and physiology to understand the interconnectedness of the our bodies; pranayama practices to harness your vital energy through the breath, and meditation to steady and restore clarity in the mind. We've included extra hours for 'teaching time', one-on-one mentorship, morning meditation practices, a public-class-card while in training and a track to teach Karma-Love community classes after graduation.

One thing is for sure, you will walk away with a deeper understanding and experience of yoga, armed with the tools to create and implement well rounded yoga and meditation classes. Read our FAQ's below!

* This training is also great for those students who have a regular yoga practice and want to deepen their knowledge, passion and understanding of yoga.

Graduate Testimonials:

Truly remarkable experience. Despite being in the middle of a pandemic, NY Loves Yoga transitioned and adapted the training online as seamlessly as could be, and supported each and every one of us as we continued on this journey through wild times. I am honored to be part of the first graduating class of NY Loves Yoga - could not ask for a better group of teachers and trainees (or new teachers!) Namaste!

NY Loves Yoga provides an extremely supportive and nurturing environment for teacher training. They cultivated a compassionate community where everyone was encouraged to learn and grow individually and as a group. And all of this was done during a pandemic, no less! I'm so glad I chose to do my training with NY Loves Yoga - it was truly a transformative experience.

I'm just writing to say THANK YOU… for everything that teacher training was (and will continue to be). It was such a fantastic experience and I am glad it was available to us even through this strange year!

I have so much respect, admiration, and gratitude for the teachers who ran this teacher training program. The curriculum was developed with great care, and I truly felt like I was getting a level of knowledge about movement and the body that I would not have gotten in other teacher courses. It's a well-rounded teacher training that has a great deal of integrity in its anatomy and movement content while also instilling spiritual and philosophical yogic wisdom.

More Testimonials

This was my first yoga teacher training, and it was rigorous, kind, and thorough. We were challenged by the teachings and by the teachers who all believed in us and supported us throughout the course. The program pacing, while serious, was also achievable. I learned so much about yoga, and also about myself. Yoga is a profound lineage and the eight limbs of yoga create a greater whole than any one aspect does on its own. NY Loves Yoga prepared us well for the beginning of our journey into teaching yoga. I am so grateful to have been part of it. If you want a master class in yoga for your own practice, or have thoughts of becoming a teacher yourself, this school will deepen all of you, including your practice

Great training program, with a wonderful group of teachers, I'd definitely recommend. Anatomy in particular is very thorough. The program was detailed and I felt supported throughout, the environment was conducive to learning. I'm so glad I chose NY Loves Yoga TT as my training program.
