Your hosts/teachers, Dennis, Lucas and MJ create a dynamic, positive and inclusive environment.

This luxurious 100 year-old retreat space sits on a stunning lush property - just a few minutes walk to beautiful lake and hiking trails in the Poconos, PA. This 6 bedroom, 2.5 bath, split level home - with a separate space for yoga, is the perfect escape for a secluded, cozy and comfortable yoga retreat, with others looking to achieve peace and energy!.
 

The house is big enough to find a nook to be alone, meditate, read a book, swing on the hammock, relax with like-minded yogi's or take a nature hike in the plush woods.There truly is something for everyone.  

A weekend feels like a week vacation when you relax, nourish your mind and body, while deepening your yoga and learning how to bring your desires from the heart and into real life practice.

 

Come with your bestie, alone or make it a weekend getaway with your partner. Everyone is welcome! We have private or shared bedroom options - catering to your pricing and level of privacy needs.

What to Expect

Daily uplifting and inspiring yoga practices, deep meditations, soulful kirtan (live acoustic yoga music), scrumptious vegetarian food, silent mornings for reflection and nature walks.

 

There is a bus line from Port Authority to Mount Poconos, that takes 2 hours! We will have 2 pickups on Friday from the bus depot, to bring you straight to the retreat ;) http://martztrailways.com/departures-from-new-york

December Retreat - Cancellation Policy: If you cancel before Nov 15th 50% refund. After, no refund granted unless we can fill the spot.

Dennis Teston

About: Dennis guides a challenging and fun class incorporating intelligent sequencing, hands-on adjustments, and posture modifications to ensure everyone leaves feeling successful.  He credits his own practice with the many shifts - professionally and personally - he has made in his life.  Dennis encourages students to integrate the gentle shifts that occur on their mats with the outside world. Dennis also teaches yoga through The Lineage Project, bringing awareness practices to at-risk teens and young adults.

Lucas Hall

About: With a lifelong passion for self-development, and the desire to help others become their best selves, Lucas took the leap and travelled to Bali, Indonesia to study the teachings of Tantra & Hatha yoga with renowned teachers Everett Newell & Katherine Girling. 

 

Already a teacher of voice here in NYC and with a background in dance, Lucas’s skill set of body/mind conditioning and how to motivate and empower his students is one of his most enticing qualities as a yoga teacher.

 

Lucas's classes are accessible, effective and well rounded. Each class includes strong asana poses, focused breathing, kirtan and guided meditation.

MJ Watkins

About: As owner of NY Loves Yoga, MJ listens to students speak about why they come to yoga - stress relief, relaxation, finding peace internally and health/wellness. 

 

MJ's passion is breathe - throughout class, the respiratory system, endocrine system and muscles get juiced up from the inside out, promoting detoxing, organ massage and mental relaxation.

MJ went abroad to Indonesia and India to study Tantra Hatha, Meditation and approaches to living life from the inside out.

 

Her passion of Thomas Hanna Somatics, came after a back injury left her with severe loss of movement. Forever grateful Mr. Hanna!
